The flowers people ask for most, and what that says about them

The rose wins by a landslide, and that was predictable. What wasn't: the most requested isn't the red one, it's the yellow one. The red rose gets given as a gift; the yellow one people buy for themselves.

The peony comes second, and it's seasonal in an almost comical way: demand spikes in May and June, when real peonies bloom, even though our pieces are available all year round. People buy what they see in the street.

The orchid is the piece for someone who already owns several of ours. It's almost never a first purchase: it's bigger, pricier and harder to wear, and you work your way up to it.

The poppy is the most interesting one. It's rarely requested, but whoever asks for it knows exactly what they want, and almost always asks if we can make it smaller or bigger. It's the flower for someone who comes in with their own idea.
